It’s a long way from Denmark to New Zealand but Founding Director and Architect Mona Kruse Hurnen of Callidus Architects has successfully made the leap bringing with her a love of heritage buildings and character homes. Having a Scandinavian heritage and a New Zealand can-do attitude provides Mona and her experienced team with a practical approach to design and construction in New Zealand.
This love of older buildings and breathing new life into them has created a niche market for Callidus Architects who specialise in alterations and additions to heritage architecture projects. Bringing these buildings up to modern day living while retaining character and street appeal for the owner is what Callidus Architects are experienced in, and enjoy doing.
