Diabetes Wellington Inc

Diabetes Wellington Inc. offers information and support to people with diabetes in the Wellington region. We offer a range of diabetes-related products in our shop (Anvil House, 138 Wakefield St) as well as online at www.diabeteswellington.org.nz. Other forms of support include supermarket tours (with the aim of helping people understand food labels and make good choices), cooking classes, presentations on topics relevant to those with diabetes, and a range of information pamphlets useful to those with the condition and their families.

Visit us to find out more about the growing epidemic of Type-2 diabetes* and steps to reduce your risk. We will be offering free blood-sugar tests (a finger-prick test) to attendees at the Show on Friday (and at various times on Saturday & Sunday).

* Over one in 20 New Zealanders has Type-2 diabetes, and the numbers are growing steadily.
