Based in the South Island of New Zealand, Zoe is an artist and
photographer whose work is deeply connected to the outdoors and the
authentic moments of life. A former member of the Royal New Zealand
Navy, she went on to study Fine Arts at The Ohio State University in
the United States on a golf scholarship, graduating with honours in
Painting and Drawing and minoring in Art History.
Following graduation, Zoe spent three years teaching art at a school
for children with Autism, a role that enriched her understanding of
creativity and expression.
Her personal passions for hunting, fishing, freediving, and
spearfishing continue to inspire her work, which focuses primarily on
portraiture of both animals and people. Zoe’s photography reflects her
life — capturing candid, unstaged moments that tell real stories.
She has represented New Zealand in golf and exhibited her work in Six
Sensational Southland Artists at Athol Gallery (2024) and the
Riversdale Arts Exhibition (2025).
