I Am Hope South Island

I Am Hope Foundation was founded by Mike King in 2010 and we are a small team predominantly based in Auckland.
Our school team of ambassadors travel around NZ to Primary Schools using a book written by Mike King and author Tommy Wilson sharing our Little People Big Feelings programme. This is an interactive mental health education program designed to promote emotional well-being to our 5 – 9 year old primary school children.. The aim of the program is to gently push our kids towards the understanding that their emotions are a natural part of their lives and how those emotions can be talked about instead of being bottled up. This programme is totally FREE to schools.
We also have our Gumboot Friday platform that provides FREE counselling to anyone aged 5-25 anywhere in NZ. This programme has to date provided over 100,000 counselling sessions to young people since its inception in 2019. It is easy to access simply visit www.gumbootfriday.org.nz where you can search for in person, on line or telephone support.
