A few months ago, a friend mentioned mushrooms growing on his property. After checking them out, I suspected they might be oyster mushrooms. He gave me the go-ahead to take some samples, so I decided to try and cultivate from this culture.
Today, I’m excited to be harvesting the first cluster, which does seem to be a native oyster mushroom! Adapted to the climate of our region, this is now Murihiku Oyster Mushroom.
